Graded Bucktail - White

Bucktail is the perfect fly tying material for a massive variety of both fresh and saltwater flies. Its ability to build profile, repel water and move naturally is unparalleled by synthetic fibres .

The tails are put into three grades. The fibre quality is similar in each with the main difference being the fibre length.

All tails are of high quality however the different lengths determine weather or not they are a good fit for tying different flies. Big bucktail changers or Pike flies for example require the longest possible fibre with a natural wave and suppleness where as a traditional clouser requires a shorter fibre that is relatively straight and not too stiff. Each fly you tie will require a different tail fibre which is why we take the guess work out of purchasing tails online and help you to know exactly what you are getting.
