Strong, smooth, flat, lightly waxed. This 140 denier thread is strong for it's diameter and can be used for freshwater flies where you might otherwise reach for a 6/0 thread and right through small saltwater flies to 2/0 Deceivers. One of our professional tiers use this thread as his 'thread of choice' for tying saltwater patterns up to and including 2/0's as it can be used very neatly without 'bulking up' the fly.
